Destinations

Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti is Tanzania’s most famous safari destination, known for its vast plains and the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras travel in search of fresh grazing. It is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) and offers year-round game viewing. The park’s diverse landscapes include open savannah, riverine forests, and kopjes (rocky outcrops)

Lake Manyara National Park

Famous for its tree-climbing lions, Lake Manyara offers a unique blend of landscapes, including dense forests, open grasslands, and the vast alkaline lake itself. It is a birdwatcher's paradise, hosting thousands of flamingos and over 400 bird species. The park is also home to elephants, hippos, and troops of baboons

Arusha National Park

Located near Arusha city, this park is a great introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife. It features Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest peak, and a variety of habitats, from lush rainforests to open grasslands. Visitors can enjoy walking safaris, canoeing on Momella Lakes, and spotting wildlife like giraffes, zebras, colobus monkeys, and flamingos

Ngorongoro Crater

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera, providing a natural enclosure for a high concentration of wildlife. Visitors can see black rhinos, large lion prides, and thousands of grazing herbivores, making it one of the best places for game viewing in Africa. The crater’s lush environment supports year-round wildlife activity.

Tarangire National Park

Known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire is an excellent safari destination, especially in the dry season when wildlife congregates around the Tarangire River. The park is home to predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as a rich diversity of birds. It is less crowded than Serengeti and Ngorongoro, offering a more intimate safari experience

Lake Natron

A unique and remote destination, Lake Natron is a striking alkaline lake known for its deep red color due to mineral deposits and microorganisms. It serves as a crucial breeding ground for lesser flamingos. The surrounding landscape is rugged and dramatic, with volcanic features such as Ol Doinyo Lengai, an active volcano considered sacred by the Maasai. This area is ideal for adventure travelers looking for hiking and cultural experiences.
